Kudos to Lukasz Zbylut!
My Windows sidebar today told me about a teenager who was accepted to seven ivy league schools - along with ten other universities. What makes this even more amazing is that when he emigrated to the US five years ago from Poland, he couldn't speak any English. He was denied only by MIT.
Can somebody tell me again why we can't have a national language?

And what exactly does a national language have to do with anything? So the kid got accepted to top-notch schools. Good for him. I'm glad that he had such a positive immigration experience. Now let's make it so that everyone living in this country can have access to the same kinds of opportunities and advantages that this guy did.
Yet he did it without everything being printed in Polish and English.
That's my point.
I give him mad props.
And he deserves mad props. But the line "Can somebody tell me again why we can't have a national language?" still borders on non sequitur.
