Clinton wants to suspend the gas tax for the summer driving season. Obama argues that lifting the tax would remove the disincentive to pollute, take away money from maintaining highways, and save consumers little—about $30 over three months. Gonna side with Obama on this one.

For the article on Ahmadinejad’s visit to India, it is a good thing. Iran, like India and every other country in the world, has every right to develop nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, which it is currently doing. To reference the article, as the Indian Foreign Secretary, Shivshankar Menon, stated, “From our point of view, the more engagement there is, the more Iran becomes a factor of stability in the region.” Other elements of India’s government seem to possess the ability to see the long-term effects, a skill that the Bush administration seriously lacks. This is evidenced through India’s National Security Adviser M. K. Narayanan’s comments such as, “It is a big country, it is a major country, with tremendous influence, and you need to deal with it diplomatically…otherwise, the world will have to pay a heavy price.” Although Ahmadinejad is the Iranian version of George W. Bush, India’s advice of diplomacy and the act of reestablishing ties are critical for ensuring stability in the Middle East.
